Sunday School & Children’s Ministries

Sunday School

Trinity’s Sunday School resumed following a pandemic break in April of 2022.  Now paused for the summer months, we expect to resume Sunday school for children 3-12 years of age in September.

Children arrive for worship at the 10 am service with their families, and process to their classroom for a lessons, crafts, community service projects and more.  They return to the sanctuary in time for Communion.

Vacation Bible School

Trinity Church joins neighboring Family of God Lutheran Church familyofgodpa.org each summer for Vacation Bible School.

Confirmation Class

Confirmation classes are held every 12-18 months, in anticipation of the Bishop’s visitation.  Youth ages 15 and older and adults gather to explore the Baptismal Covenant and learn more about the Bible, the Church and their place in God’s plan to love and redeem all creation.  Please contact Pastor Nancy or the church office for information about the next set of inquirers/confirmation classes.

Worship Leadership

We are committed to including children who are interested, in the leadership of all services. They participate as acolytes, readers, choir members, chalice bearers and sometimes even as preachers.  We are proud of the commitment with which our children and young people participate in worship.

Pajama Vespers

Prior to pandemic, Pajama Vespers took place in the sanctuary on Sunday evenings when families came (sometimes in pajamas) to share stories and prayers before getting ready for bed.  When COVID arrived, this service became virtual.  Pastor Nancy offers a new YouTube video each week, complete with songs, prayers and bedtime stories.  Click here to access our Pajama Vespers library.

Godly Play

While not currently offered in-person at Trinity, Godly Play is a program of spiritual formation especially for children using interactive stories from the Old and New Testaments as well as the ritual life of the church.  Pastor Nancy is an accredited Godly Play story teller and offers these videos to families for their use at home as we continue through the pandemic.  Click here to access the Godly Play library of videos.
