Sunday School is offered from September through June.
Confirmation classes are held every 12-18 months, in anticipation of the Bishop’s visitation. The classes consist of fourteen weeks of meetings once a week on Tuesday nights, for two hours, in order to familiarize those joining the church with the history of the Episcopal Church, the Bible, the Book of Common Prayer, our Creeds and the basics of what we believe. The classes culminate in a half day retreat with the rector in preparing for Confirmation. All children age thirteen and above are welcome to join the confirmation class, but upon joining, are expected to attend all sessions of the class.
Trinity’s Youth Group meets to engage in faith, fellowship, and service and fun with friends every second Sunday of the month from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. We are excited to get going and are looking forward to building a sustainable, fun, and enriching, Trinity Youth Group!
We are looking at exciting changes in our youth group, such as joining forces with Trinity Solebury to encourage youth collaboration across our church communities, trying to build faith that flows into adulthood. Along with our usual 2nd Sunday meeting night at Trinity Buckingham from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm for kids in grades 7-12, we are adding the Fuel at 5:55 service at Trinity Solebury on the 4th Sunday of the month.
Fuel at 5:55 is worship, followed by a meal, and a short program divided into age appropriate groups. We are also adding additional opportunities for families to go along on outdoor and other adventures by tapping into existing Solebury programs. Stay tuned, much more to come!
We are committed to including children who are interested, in the leadership of all services. They participate as acolytes, readers, choir members (see Music Ministries), and chalice bearers and sometimes even as preachers. We are proud of the commitment with which our children and young people participate in worship.
All children are welcome to participate in the Epiphany pageant held each year on Epiphany Sunday, two Sundays after Christmas.
